Medical + Prescription Drug

Nothing is more important than the health of you and your dependents.

All three Givaudan medical plans have deductibles, but only the Advantage and Standard plans are considered high-deductible health plans. Two of the plans work with a Health Savings Account (HSA), with Givaudan making contributions on your behalf.

  • Preventive care is covered at 100% in-network, with no deductible or coinsurance
  • All plans cover the same services and supplies and use the same insurance provider network
  • Same level of coverage for in-network prescription medications
  • Freedom to receive care from any in- or out-of-network provider
  • You pay 100% of costs until you satisfy your annual deductible. The amount you must pay is based on the plan you choose, whom you cover, and whether you receive care in- or out-of-network.
  • After meeting the deductible, the plan pays a percentage of eligible expenses (coinsurance)
  • Out-of-pocket maximums protect you from very high health care expenses
  • Coverage when traveling overseas (emergency room services covered as in-network)
  • Virtual health care is available for a $40-$50 copayment under all three medical plans within the UnitedHealthcare telemedicine network. This convenience is ideal for non-emergency conditions like allergies, cold/flu, ear infections and urinary tract infections.
  • Different contribution amounts, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums
  • Signature Plan requires you to cover your deductible on your own (no company HSA contribution)
  • HSA plans have accounts funded by Givaudan to help pay deductible and/or coinsurance
  • HSA plans include employee-only Critical Illness coverage at no cost to you. The benefit is up to $5,000 depending on relevant diagnosis. You also may purchase additional Critical Illness coverage.
  • Signature Plan – Highest payroll deductions, lowest deductibles and out-of-pocket costs
  • HSA Standard Plan – Lowest payroll deductions, highest deductibles and out-of-pocket costs
  • HSA Advantage Plan – Mid-range option with moderate payroll deductions and deductibles

When covered health services are received from a non-network provider, eligible expenses are determined as follows: (i) an amount negotiated by the claims administrator, (ii) a specific amount required by law (when required by law), or (iii) an amount the claims administrator has determined is typically accepted by a health care provider for the same or similar service or an amount that is greater than such rate when elected or directed by the Plan.

Which plan might be a good fit for you?

If you want to save year-over-year for health care expenses with financial protection:

Consider one of the HSA plans. Both offer comparable deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, with different contribution levels from Givaudan.

If you want lower costs for in-network care with out-of-network flexibility:

The Signature Plan may be right for you, offering high coverage levels with mid-range deductibles.

If you want lower paycheck contributions but financial protection for high expenses:

Consider the HSA Standard Plan with its lower payroll deductions and Givaudan’s contribution to help with the higher deductible.
